Notes on Tools:
Mitre Block -
1 - These are available in plastic and aluminium versions.
I use the plastic type - perhaps the aluminium blocks damage the saw blade?
2 - Always use a piece of scrap timber in the well of the mitre block
to protect the base.
Razor Saw -
1 - These are available as either a blade to fit into the craft knife
or as a separate saw.
I use the blade but constant changing between cutting blade and razor
saw
became a nuisance and a second handle was purchased.
2 - There are several grades, fine, medium and coarse.
I have the three versions but always use the medium, this cutting
dolls house
furniture parts satisfactorily.
Try Square -
1 - These are available with either a wood handle or an all metal version
when it is often
known as an Engineer's Square.
2 - Either style is suitable but do get the miniature version with a
blade about 3" (75 mm) long.
